Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Field Support Technician to deliver remote and on-site IT support for the ANG modernization program across CONUS. The role requires hands-on installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of IT systems in DoD environments, with more than 50% travel and a Secret clearance.

The technician will work with engineers, cybersecurity and logistics teams to implement standardized hardware, software, and network solutions that improve reliability and mission readiness while

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Level II certification required (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND).
• Experience with enterprise hardware and common networking technologies.
• Ability to read engineering docs, drawings and installation procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain and modify equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Perform system programming and configuration during deployment.
• Provide on-site end-user training and support.
• Travel nationally to deploy and service systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve recurring incidents.
• Review network configurations to ensure successful production integration.
• Support DoW/DoD environments and DoD compliance.
