Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Field Support Technician to deliver remote and on-site IT support for ANG modernization across CONUS installations. The role involves hands-on installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of IT systems, with significant travel to client sites.

Collaboration with systems and network engineers ensures secure, reliable deployments. Required DoD 8140 Level II certification, strong networking knowledge, and excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Level II certification or equivalent required.
• Experience with enterprise hardware and networking technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities; clear communication.
• Ability to travel more than 50% for nationwide deployments.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies IT equipment at customer sites.
• Performs system programming, optimization, maintenance and configuration tasks.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions and diagnoses issues to minimize downtime.
• Interacts with customers to provide training and ensure smooth deployments.
• Travels to client sites and supports field technician activities as needed.
• Collaborates with engineers to resolve recurring incidents and improve services.
