GovCIO is hiring a Field Support Technician to provide remote and on-site IT support for deploying, installing, integrating, and sustaining the ANG's modernized IT infrastructure across CONUS installations. This remote role requires more than 50% travel and involves DoW‑compliant configuration and field changes.

You will collaborate with systems, network, cybersecurity, logistics, and program management teams to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software, ensuring

Qualifikationen

• DoD 8140 Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+,CND).
• Working knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms and common networking technologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support technical and non‑technical users.
• Ability to lift equipment (up to 50 pounds), work in equipment rooms, and perform physical installation activities.
• Ability to travel more than 50% in support of nationwide deployment activities.

Aufgaben

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment at customer or field locations.
• Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance; troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinated engineering field change.
• Maintains effective customer communications and relations; may provide onsite training.
• Assembles, installs and configures systems per site assessments and schematics.
• Completes system programming and optimization during installation.
• Performs routine maintenance, hardware configurations and component changes.
• Tests and trains end-users on system operation and troubleshooting.
• Travels to customer sites and performs field technician duties.
• Reviews configurations to ensure successful production deployment and partners with engineers.
