Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Field Support Technician to provide remote and on-site IT support for the ANG modernization program across CONUS. This role requires over 50% travel and a Secret clearance, with hands-on installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems per DoW standards.

You will collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity, and logistics to ensure secure, reliable deployments across 180+ ANG installations, while maintaining operational readiness and adherence to program guidelines.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+,CND)
• Working knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms and common networking technologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support technical and non-technical users.
• Ability to lift equipment (up to 50 pounds), work in equipment rooms, and perform physical installation activities.
• Ability to travel more than 50% in support of nationwide deployment activities.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
• Performs maintenance and technical support on products at customer and/or field locations.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problems quickly.
• Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinated engineering field change.
• Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
• May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
• Travels frequently to customer sites and performs field technician service duties as assigned.
• Tests, trains and deploys support to customers regarding technical aspects of designated systems and services.
• Provides expertise for resolution of technical problems and modifications to customer requirements.
• Reviews system and network configurations to ensure successful deployment into production.
• Partners with developers and engineers to reduce re-occurring incidents.
