Job summary

GovCIO is actively recruiting for a Field Support Technician to deliver remote and on-site support for ANG IT deployments across CONUS. This role involves hands-on installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems with more than 50% travel and some remote work flexibility.

The successful candidate will work with systems, network, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, reliable deployments while meeting DoW requirements and program standards.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Level II certs (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND)
• Working knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms and common networking technologies
• Ability to interpret engineering docs, drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation procedures
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service with both technical and non-technical users
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds and perform physical installation activities
• Ability to travel more than 50% for nationwide deployment activities

Responsibilities

• Assembles, installs, and configures systems and equipment per site assessments and schematics
• Completes system programming and optimization during installation
• Performs routine system maintenance and analysis, including hardware configurations
• Provides on-site end-user training on system operation and maintenance
• Travels to customer sites and conducts field technician service duties
• Tests and trains customers on technical aspects of systems and services
• Resolves technical problems and adapts products to customer requirements
• Reviews configurations to ensure successful production deployment
• Collaborates with developers and engineers to reduce recurring incidents
