Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Field Support Technician to support the ANG modernization across CONUS installations. The role combines remote and on-site work, with more than 50% travel to customer sites to deploy and sustain IT infrastructure per program standards and DoW requirements.

The position requires security clearance, DoD 8140 Level II, and strong troubleshooting, communication, and installation skills. Candidates will support hardware, software, and network solutions while ensuring cybersecurity

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Level II certification required (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND).
• Working knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms and common networking technologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support technical and non‑technical users.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment at customer and field locations.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Performs routine system maintenance and configuration changes.
• Provides on-site end-user training on system operation and maintenance.
• Travels frequently to customer sites for field technician duties.
• Tests and trains customers on technical aspects of systems and services.
• Collaborates with developers and engineers to reduce recurring incidents.
• Reviews system and network configurations to ensure successful production deployment.
