Job summary

Acuative is seeking a dependable Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot network and technology infrastructure at customer locations. You will work with routers, switches, WAPs, firewalls, and more, often coordinating with remote engineers and NOCs.

The role includes hands-on hardware installation, cabling, testing, and equipment replacement, with paid training and opportunities for travel. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT field services, telecommunications, networking, or structured cabling is preferred.
• Knowledge of networking hardware and topologies is desirable.
• Ability to identify and work with routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, cellular gateways, and servers.

Responsibilities

• Install and support routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and other network hardware.
• Perform physical installation including structured cabling and mounting.
• Troubleshoot copper cabling and connectivity with test equipment.
• Conduct site surveys and audits of existing infrastructure.
• Install satellite and fixed wireless equipment and related indoor network gear.
• Carry tools and equipment for field installations and maintain safety equipment.
• Complete required deliverables: photos, ticket notes, and checklists.
• Maintain the company vehicle and inventory; work at heights up to 30 feet.
