Job summary

Acuative is seeking a dependable Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and provide Smart Hands support for network infrastructure at customer sites. The role involves hands-on work with routers, switches, WAPs, firewalls, and related hardware across diverse environments.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, willingness to learn, and relevant IT/networking experience. Travel is required, with a company vehicle provided and paid training offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical foundation with willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment.
• Previous field service, IT, networking, telecommunications, or structured cabling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, relocate, rack, stack, mount, and provide Smart Hands support for routers, switches, WAPs, and other network hardware.
• Perform physical installation and replacement across multiple platforms, including cabling and fixed wireless.
• Coordinate with remote engineers and customer teams to complete installations and resolve issues.
• Document circuits, ports, and cabling, and complete site surveys and audits.
