Job summary

Acuative is seeking a Data Center & Route Switch Field Service Technician to install and maintain voice and data networks, servers, and retail technology systems. The role involves travel to customer sites, performing site surveys, and handling cabling and hardware installations.

You will work with routers, switches, WAPs, telephony equipment, and fixed wireless or satellite setups, with paid training and occasional after-hours work. A valid license is required and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
• CompTIA, Cisco, Cabling, Satellite, PBX or VoIP certifications a plus!
• Willing to travel to meet customer SLAs; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain networking hardware including routers, switches, and WAPs.
• Install and maintain telephony equipment and circuits.
• Support retail technology systems such as POS, digital signage, and video surveillance.
• Perform site surveys and structured cabling; extend circuits.
• Submit all job-related documents promptly and maintain vehicle and inventory.
