Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. in Midland, TX is seeking a Field Service Engineer I – Process Controls to provide on-site and remote support for installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of process control systems in industrial environments.

You will read schematics, work with PLC/DCS/HMI/SCADA, travel to customer sites, ensure safety, and collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues while developing technical knowledge through hands-on field

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of field service or related technical experience.
• Strong knowledge of process instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, HMI, or SCADA systems.
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams.
• Must be able to travel extensively to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support for installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of process control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation, and control valves.
• Perform loop checks, functional testing, and diagnostics to ensure proper operation.
• Read P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop drawings, and control documentation.
• Support installation, configuration, replacement, and maintenance of process instrumentation and hardware.
• Collaborate with customers and project managers, engineers, and technicians to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Assist with startup and commissioning activities at customer sites and provide technical support throughout service assignments.
• Document service activities, troubleshooting findings, equipment conditions, and recommendations in service reports.
• Follow all Honeywell and customer safety requirements while working in industrial and field environments.
• Develop technical knowledge through hands-on field experience, training, and mentoring from experienced engineers and technicians.
