Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Field Service Engineer I – Process Controls to deliver on-site and remote technical support for process control and instrumentation systems in industrial environments. You will troubleshoot, commission, maintain, calibrate, and service PLC/DCS/HMI/SCADA equipment, working with customers and Honeywell engineers to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Based in Midland, TX with travel to customer sites, you will report to the Field Service Manager and develop hands-on expertise

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in field service, instrumentation, or related technical field.
• Knowledge of process instrumentation, and control systems.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, HMI, or SCADA systems.
• Ability to read P&IDs, schematics and control documentation.
• Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support for installation, start-up, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of process control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation, control valves, transmitters, and related equipment.
• Perform loop checks, verification, testing, calibration, and system diagnostics.
• Read/interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control documentation.
• Support installation, configuration, replacement, and maintenance of instrumentation and hardware.
• Collaborate with customers, project teams, and engineers to resolve issues.
• Assist with startup and commissioning activities and provide ongoing technical support.
• Document service activities and recommendations in service reports.
• Follow Honeywell safety requirements in industrial environments.
• Develop technical knowledge through hands-on field experience and mentoring.
