Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Field Service Engineer I - Process Controls to provide on-site and remote technical support for installing, commissioning, calibrating, and maintaining process control systems at customer sites across industrial environments. You will collaborate with customers and Honeywell engineers to resolve technical issues and ensure safe operation.

Qualifications

2+ years in field service, instrumentation, electrical, automation, process controls or related technical field.
Knowledge of process instrumentation and control systems (pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical instruments, valves).
Experience troubleshooting electrical/instrumentation/automation/control system equipment.
Familiarity with PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA systems and basic control concepts.
Ability to read P&IDs, schematics, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, technical documentation.
Experience or exposure to commissioning, startup, calibration, loop checks, preventive maintenance, or functional testing.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively to customer sites in industrial environments.
Strong safety mindset and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote technical support for installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of process control and instrumentation systems.
Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation, control valves, transmitters, and related equipment.
Perform loop checks, verification, functional testing, calibration, and diagnostics for proper operation of control systems.
Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, instrument indexes, and control documentation.
Support installation, configuration, replacement, and maintenance of process instrumentation and control system hardware.
Collaborate with customers, project managers, engineers, and technicians to resolve technical issues.
Assist with startup and commissioning activities and provide ongoing technical support.
Document service activities, findings, equipment conditions, and recommendations in reports.
Follow Honeywell and customer safety requirements in industrial and field environments.
Develop technical knowledge through hands-on field experience and mentoring.
