Job summary
Honeywell International, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer I – Process Controls to deliver on-site and remote support for process control and instrumentation systems across industrial environments.
You will troubleshoot, commission, calibrate, and maintain systems while collaborating with customers and Honeywell engineers. Travel to customer sites is extensive, with a Midland, TX location anchoring this field role.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of field service or related technical experience.
- Basic knowledge of process instrumentation and control systems.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, automation, or control systems.
- Familiarity with PLC, DCS, HMI, or SCADA systems.
- Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of process control systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation and related equipment.
- Perform loop checks and functional testing to ensure proper operation.
- Read P&IDs, schematics, loop drawings, and control documentation.
- Document service activities and recommendations in reports.
