Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Field Service Engineer I – Process Controls to deliver on-site and remote support for installation, startup, calibration, and maintenance of process control systems at customer sites. You will troubleshoot PLC/DCS/HMI/SCADA, read complex schematics, and coordinate with project teams to resolve issues.

The role requires at least 2 years in field service or instrumentation, willingness to travel, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of field service experience in instrumentation, electrical, automation, or process controls.
Knowledge of process instrumentation including pressure, temp, flow, level, and analytical instruments.
Experience troubleshooting PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA systems and related equipment.
Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop drawings, and control documentation.
Experience with commissioning, startup, calibration, loop checks, and preventive maintenance.
Travel extensively to customer sites and adhere to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote technical support for installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of process control systems.
Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation, valves, transmitters, and related equipment.
Perform loop checks, functional testing, calibration, and system diagnostics for proper operation.
Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control documentation.
Support installation, configuration, replacement, and maintenance of process instrumentation hardware.
Document service activities and recommendations in service reports.
