Job summary

WM is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to lead onboarding, development, coaching, and performance management for drivers and helpers. The role emphasizes hands-on field presence, safety leadership, and ongoing feedback to improve daily operations and frontline career growth.

The position requires an Associate's Degree or equivalent high school diploma with two years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and legal work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (accredited) or High School Diploma with 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
• Driver's License required at hire.
• Preferred: WM Operations Manager Trainee program completion.

Responsibilities

• Onboard, develop, coach, mentor, and manage performance of all drivers and helpers.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with frontline employees.
• Spend significant time in the field with frontline staff.
• Ensure onboarding tools, instructions, and feedback are provided.
• Conduct root cause investigations for injuries and incidents and ensure retraining as needed.
• Document and maintain records required by regulatory agencies (e.g., DOT).
• Visit customer sites to evaluate safety issues and explore service options.
