Job summary

WM is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to lead onboarding, development, and performance management for drivers and helpers. The role emphasizes field-based leadership, safety, and collaboration with frontline teams.

Key duties include daily coaching, ensuring tools and instruction, and maintaining records to meet regulatory requirements, with a focus on safety and operational excellence across sites.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of a degree,
• High School Diploma (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
• Driver's License Valid Driver's License Upon Hire
• Preferred completion of the WM Operations Manager Trainee program

Responsibilities

• Onboarding, developing, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of all drivers and helpers in the field.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with front-line employees.
• Spend the majority of the day in the field with frontline employees.
• Ensure tools, instruction, and feedback for daily duties are available to new frontline employees.
• Meet daily with new frontline employees to ensure onboarding support and consistent communication.
• Provide timely and consistent touchpoints with frontline employees.
• Review best practices to enhance daily performance and understand career goals.
• Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with frontline employees for success.
• Lead by example to prioritize safety practices for every employee.
