WM is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to lead onboarding, development, and performance management for drivers and helpers. The role emphasizes field presence, safety, and coaching to build a strong WM Way culture while maintaining strong relationships with frontline staff.

The position reports to the Operations team and offers a path through the WM Operations Manager Trainee program, with compensation aligned to market standards for an on-site leadership role in California.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (accredited) or High School Diploma with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Driver's License required on hire.
• Preferred: WM Operations Manager Trainee program completed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding and development of drivers and helpers.
• Coach, mentor, and manage performance.
• Ensure safety practices and regulatory recordkeeping.
• Visit customer sites to assess safety and service options.
• Document DVIRs, attendance, and tickets daily.
