Job summary

WM is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to lead onboarding, development, coaching, and performance management for drivers and helpers. The role involves frequent fieldwork with frontline staff and starts early, around 6–7am.

The position supports frontline drivers as the first level of management, overseeing 15–20 drivers and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while aligning with the WM Way.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or high school diploma with 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
• Valid Driver's License at time of hire.
• Preferred completion of the WM Operations Manager Trainee program.

Responsibilities

• Onboard, develop, coach, mentor, and manage drivers and helpers.
• Spend the majority of the day in the field with frontline employees.
• Support frontline drivers as the first level of management while overseeing a team of 15–20 drivers.
• Lead safety practices and ensure adherence to WM standards.
• Document and review regulatory records and route operation data daily.
