Job summary

WM is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to lead onboarding, development, coaching, and performance management for drivers and helpers. The role emphasizes field presence and active coaching to improve daily performance and safety.

The candidate will establish strong relationships with frontline staff, drive adherence to WM Way principles, and ensure regulatory documentation is maintained. A WM Manager Trainee path is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or High School Diploma with 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Driver's License valid upon hire.
• Preferred completion of WM Operations Manager Trainee program.

Responsibilities

• Onboard, develop, coach, mentor, and manage performance of drivers and helpers.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with frontline employees.
• Spend majority of time in the field with frontline staff.
• Provide tools, instruction, and feedback for daily duties.
• Conduct daily onboarding touchpoints and coaching conversations.
• Review safety practices and ensure adherence to WM Way.
• Document regulatory records and review route operations data.
