Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Field Support Technician to provide remote and on-site support for ANG IT infrastructure across CONUS. The role involves hands-on installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems with heavy travel requirements.

Ideal candidates have DoD 8140 Level II certifications (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND), strong networking knowledge, and proven customer service skills. This full-time role supports DoD environments and DoW standards.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND).
• Working knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms and common networking technologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support technical and non-technical users.
• Ability to travel more than 50% in support of nationwide deployment activities.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
• Performs maintenance and technical support on products at customer sites.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinated engineering field change.
• Provides on-site end-user training on system operation and maintenance.
• Travels frequently to customer sites for field technician duties.
