Job summary

People Connect Staffing is seeking a Business Consultant for an outside-sales role heavily focused on field-based client development in the Tampa area. You will own the sales cycle from prospecting to close, travel to meet clients, and collaborate with a regional team to deliver solutions in PEO, HR tech, payroll, and benefits services.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of outside sales experience, a proven track record of meeting sales targets, and strong relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outside sales/business development experience in PEO, payroll, HR tech, or related fields.
• Ability to generate new business opportunities and build a strong pipeline.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets.
• Prospect, schedule appointments, and deliver sales presentations to decision-makers.
• Negotiate pricing and finalize client service agreements; own the full sales cycle.
• Maintain client relationships through implementation and post-sale support; ensure customer success.
• Track activity, opportunities, and forecasts in Salesforce; meet or exceed sales quotas.
