Job summary

National Federation of Independent Business is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to drive new membership growth in a field-based B2B capacity. You will meet directly with small business owners, present NFIB benefits, and enroll new members while managing a local territory.

As a hunter/closer, you’ll operate with a structured sales process, earn uncapped commissions, and receive ongoing training and support to grow your career within NFIB.

Qualifications

• Sales experience is helpful but not required.
• Backgrounds from sales, fundraising, community outreach, recruiting, education, military leadership, business ownership, and other customer-facing backgrounds welcome.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and engage small business owners in your local area.
• Build rapport and establish trust through face-to-face interactions.
• Present NFIB's advocacy mission and membership benefits.
• Identify business needs and recommend solutions.
• Overcome objections and enroll new members.
• Achieve sales goals through prospecting, lead generation, and closing activity.
• Represent NFIB as a trusted advocate for small businesses.
• Focus on prospecting, selling, and growing membership.
