Construction Material Testing seeks a skilled 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners on concrete and structural projects. You will capture data on-site, process in Artec Studio, and deliver meshes, reports, and scan-to-CAD outputs for clients.

Travel to regional hubs is required; you will work at active sites and plant environments, using drift-control methods and ensuring data integrity for engineering drawings.

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience operating handheld 3D scanners on real projects.
• Knowledge of Artec Studio for mesh processing and reporting.
• Familiarity with CAD drawings and with reading structural/fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable on active construction sites and in industrial plants; able to carry equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
• Willingness to travel to regional hubs as assigned.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar and embeds before concrete placement.
• Control drift on large objects with reference features and overlapping zones.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, texture, and export to STL/OBJ/E57/CAD.
• Produce deviation maps, measurement reports, and anchor bolt coordinates against drawings.
• Build scan-to-CAD solids (STEP/IGES) for reverse engineering and hand-clean meshes for modeling team.
• Document capture procedure, equipment settings, and chain of custody on forensic matters.
• Travel to regional hubs as assigned.
