Construction Material Testing seeks a 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners on concrete and industrial projects, capture data on site, and deliver clean meshes and reports for design and quality teams.

You'll process scans in Artec Studio, perform registration and export to STL/OBJ, and coordinate access and safety with client sites; travel to regional hubs and sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating handheld scanners on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio for mesh processing and export.
• Familiarity with reading structural or fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable on active construction sites and able to travel.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar, embeds, and installed components.
• Control drift and ensure capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, and mesh cleanup.
• Export to STL, OBJ, E57, and CAD formats; produce deviation maps and reports.
• Create scan-to-CAD solids (STEP/IGES) for reverse engineering and fit-up checks.
• Document capture procedures, equipment settings, and chain of custody.
• Coordinate access, permits, and safety with superintendents and plant contacts.
• Travel to regional hubs as assigned.
