Job summary
Cisco ThousandEyes is seeking a skilled Sales Engineer to support the Public Sector and Federal segment. You will be the customer interface for ThousandEyes during trials, educate prospects and the sales team on the technology, and help accelerate growth through demonstrating value and expanding market awareness.
You will collaborate with sales to prospect opportunities, build trusted advisor relationships, and assist in deploying ThousandEyes across customer networks, ensuring successful trials
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Solutions Engineering experience.
- Experience selling into US Federal customers.
- Experience working with application and network protocols, including HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and BGP.
- Experience designing, deploying, troubleshooting, or supporting application and network infrastructure.
- Experience working with unified communications technologies or solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support the technical sales process.
- Assist sales in technical prospecting to help uncover opportunities.
- Demonstrate solution to showcase capabilities and use-cases.
- Build and maintain a technical and trusted advisor relationship with customers.
- Support customers during solution trials.
- Scope and architect solution deployments.
- Present to decision makers during trial wrap-up meetings.
- Interface with Marketing, Product Management and Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure successful deployment and adoption.
