Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to support residents with personal care, companionship, and daily activities. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and emphasizes dignity, independence, and quality of life in a compassionate team setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant in a senior living community or healthcare setting preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web platforms, EHR systems, and HR-related tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs including grooming, hygiene, dressing, and nutrition.
• Respond to signals and intercoms to address resident needs promptly.
• Record vitals and intake as directed by the care team.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and dining support as needed.
• Help with laundry, housekeeping, and simple errands.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and social events.
• Document observations and communicate changes to the care team.
• Support residents in activities to maintain independence and dignity.
• Follow resident care plans and advance directives as applicable.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming living environment.
