Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is looking for a part-time Resident Assistant to support residents with daily personal care, companionship, and participation in activities. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and focuses on preserving dignity, independence, and wellbeing within a compassionate care environment.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to monitor health, implement care plans, and maintain a safe, clean living area while engaging residents in meaningful community life.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant within a senior living community or healthcare setting preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with common digital tools and applications including Microsoft Office and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs (grooming, hygiene, dressing, nutrition).
• Answer signals from bells/intercom proactively to determine needs.
• Record vitals and intake/output as directed.
• Assist with mobility and transfers including turning/repositioning.
• Help with dining, laundry, housekeeping, and transportation to activities.
