Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Resident Assistant to support residents’ dignity, independence, and daily living activities in a compassionate, respectful environment. You will partner with the nursing director and care team to deliver high-quality personal care and encouragement within a safe living community.

Responsibilities include assisting with grooming, nutrition, mobility, and daily tasks while monitoring health and promoting wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant in a senior living community or healthcare setting is preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, web-based platforms, electronic health record systems, and HR-related systems as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs including grooming, hygiene, dressing, and nutrition.
• Respond to signal lights or intercom to determine residents' needs in a proactive manner.
• Record vital signs and fluid intake/output as directed by the care team.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and movement around the community.
• Assist with laundry, housekeeping, dining, and transportation as needed.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and social events.
