Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to support residents with daily personal care, companionship, and independence in a dignified living environment. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to monitor health, implement care plans, and maintain a safe, welcoming community.

Essential duties include assisting with grooming, nutrition, mobility, and activities, while communicating with families and team members to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant within a senior living community or healthcare setting is preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web-based platforms, electronic health record systems, and HR-related systems as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs such as grooming, hygiene, dressing, and nutrition.
• Respond to signals from residents via lights or intercom and address needs proactively.
• Monitor health indicators and document vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning; support dining and activities.
• Coordinate with care team to implement care plans and promote safety and comfort.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff; participate in team problem-solving.
