Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Resident Assistant to support residents in maintaining dignity, independence, and quality of life through personal care, companionship, and daily activity encouragement. You will collaborate with the care team to monitor health and promote a safe, welcoming living environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, responding to call signals, taking vital signs, aiding mobility, and supporting residents in meals and activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant within a senior living community or healthcare setting is preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in common digital tools and applications, including Microsoft Office programs, web-based platforms, electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs including grooming, hygiene, dressing, and nutrition.
• Respond to signals via lights or intercoms to determine resident needs.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor intake/output as directed.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Assist with laundry, housekeeping, and dining room activities.
• Encourage participation in activities and assist with social engagement.
• Communicate observations to the care team and support individualized care plans.
• Promote residents' wellbeing and maintain a safe, respectful living environment.
