Job summary

The Resident Assistant at Cedarhurst Senior Living, reporting to the Director of Nursing, provides personal care, companionship, and encouragement to residents to maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life within a supportive care team.

Responsibilities include assisting with grooming, daily activities, meals, mobility, safety, and documentation; communicating needs to the care team and families; sustaining a clean, respectful living environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant in a senior living or healthcare setting preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with common digital tools and applications including EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs and daily activities.
• Respond to call bells and intercoms promptly.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Help with meals, dining room assistance, and laundry tasks.
• Encourage participation in activities and social events.
• Communicate observations to the care team and families as needed.
• Support a safe, clean, and welcoming living environment.
