Job summary

HDR is seeking an EV Charging Infrastructure Design Lead/Manager to lead the delivery of transportation electrification projects, including public, fleet, and workplace charging. You will manage multi-disciplinary scopes, develop site designs, and maintain strong client relationships across HDR’s network.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineers, preparing PS&E packages, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• PE license recognized by licensing board; NY preferred.
• Experience in EV charging design and project leadership is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and tasks of varying complexity including schedule and budget.
• Prepare detailed EVSE site designs and technical reports.
• Undertake site assessments and due diligence analyses.
• Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to deliver drawings and models.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers and multiple disciplines.
• Lead staff development and mentorship for design production.
• Prepare proposals with scope and hour/fee estimates.
• Willingness to travel nationally as needed.
