HDR is seeking an EV Charging Infrastructure Design Lead/Manager to lead the delivery of charging infrastructure design and implementation projects, including public, workplace, and fleet charging solutions. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with engineers and clients, and ensure schedules and budgets are met.

This role emphasizes developing technical expertise, mentoring staff, and contributing to proposals while traveling nationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• 8+ years of experience in civil/energy/EV or similar fields.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in NY.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage projects and tasks of varying complexity including multi-disciplinary scope, schedule, and budget.
• Prepare detailed EVSE site designs and technical reports.
• Undertake site assessments, due diligence analysis, and incorporating electrical equipment designs provided by other team members.
• Use industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to produce high-quality drawings and models.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, and other disciplines, including sub-consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines
• Lead the growth of technical expertise and design production capacity through staff development, coordination, training, and mentorship.
• Engage with external clients and internal project managers, market sector leads, business group managers, and other throughout HDR for project delivery expertise.
• Prepare proposals, including scope development and estimating hours and fees, and coordinating with other discipline leads.
