Job summary

HDR seeks an EV Charging Infrastructure Design Lead/Manager to drive design and delivery of charging networks including public, fleet and workplace charging. You will maintain client relationships, lead multi-disciplinary design teams, and grow technical capabilities across HDR’s projects.

Responsibilities include creating detailed designs, coordinating with electrical engineers, leading proposals, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Travel nationally as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• 8+ years of experience in the civil engineering or energy industry, utilities, electrical engineering, or similar field.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in NY.
• Prior A/E project management or task-lead experience; EV field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industry practices and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of EV charging infrastructure design and implementation projects.
• Prepare EVSE site designs and technical reports.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers and sub-consultants.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and guidelines.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development.
• Travel nationally as needed for project work.
