Job summary

HDR is seeking an EV Charging Infrastructure Design Lead/Manager in a hybrid role across NY/NJ. You will lead delivery of electrification projects including public, workplace, and fleet charging infrastructure, coordinating with engineers, sub-consultants, and clients to ensure quality design delivery.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring staff, and growth in project management while supporting business development and client relationships in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required or recognized for the location.
• Experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead EV charging infrastructure design projects with varied scope, schedule, and budget.
• Prepare EVSE site designs and technical reports.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, other disciplines, sub-consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and guidelines.
• Mentor junior staff and grow design production capacity.
• Travel nationally as needed.
