Job summary

UAB Temporary Services is seeking dependable Training Support Specialists for a large-scale training initiative during the Epic implementation. The role provides on-site classroom, administrative, and logistical support to ensure sessions run smoothly.

Responsibilities include greeting participants, assisting with sign-in and basic computer access, room setup, and coordinating with training staff for technical issues. This is a temporary, shift-based position in Tuscaloosa.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service, call center, or front desk roles.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal communication and professional demeanor.
• Comfortable with computers and basic login/support tasks.
• Able to follow instructions and processes.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with many employees.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain schedules.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for scheduled employee training sessions at designated UAB locations.
• Greet participants and assist with attendance and sign-in processes.
• Set up classrooms, workstations, materials, and supplies.
• Assist participants with basic computer functions and access.
• Refer login problems and Epic questions to training staff.
• Support instructors with classroom logistics and administrative tasks.
• Maintain organized, welcoming training spaces and supplies.
• Transport materials between training areas and run errands as needed.
• Communicate participant concerns and scheduling needs to leadership.
