Job summary

University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Temporary Services has a need for dependable Training Support Specialists to support a large Epic EHR rollout. You will be onsite, greeting participants, assisting with check-in, preparing training spaces, and routing Epic workflow questions to staff.

This role does not provide Epic instruction or clinical guidance. The assignment runs about 4-5 months, with day, evening, and Saturday shifts depending on the training schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with computers and providing basic assistance.
• Ability to follow instructions and established processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for scheduled employee training sessions at designated UAB locations.
• Greet participants, provide directions and information, assist with attendance and sign-in processes.
• Set up classrooms, workstations, materials, and supplies before and between sessions.
• Assist participants with basic computer functions, including signing in and out of workstations.
• Refer login problems, technical issues, and Epic questions to training staff or designated technical support.
• Support instructors with classroom logistics and routine administrative tasks.
