Job summary

UAB Temporary Services is seeking a dependable Training Support Specialist for a large Epic EHR training initiative. This temporary role provides onsite classroom, administrative, and logistical support to ensure training sessions run smoothly.

Responsibilities include greeting participants, assisting with check-in, setting up spaces, helping with basic computer access, and directing Epic questions to staff. No advanced Epic instruction or clinical guidance is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service or front desk in healthcare or office settings.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with computers and basic login tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and established processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of employees.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain assigned work schedules.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a larger team.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for scheduled employee training sessions.
• Greet participants, provide directions and general information, and assist with attendance and sign in processes.
• Set up classrooms, workstations, materials, and supplies before and between sessions.
• Assist participants with basic computer functions, including signing in and out of workstations and accessing assigned training systems.
• Refer login problems, technical issues, and Epic questions to training staff or designated technical support.
• Support instructors with classroom logistics and routine administrative tasks.
• Monitor supplies and materials and help maintain organized, welcoming training spaces.
• Transport materials or supplies between training areas and complete related errands as assigned.
• Communicate participant concerns, scheduling issues, and operational needs to training leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Epic training initiative.
