Job summary

University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Training Support Specialist for temporary assignment supporting Epic rollout logistics. You will greet participants, assist with check-in, set up training spaces, and help participants with basic computer access.

This role does not involve Epic instruction or clinical guidance. You'll provide onsite support for scheduled sessions across designated locations, handle attendance and sign-in, and coordinate with training staff to ensure smooth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service, call center, administrative support, front desk, or a similar customer-facing environment.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal communication and professional demeanor.
• Comfortable working with computers and providing basic assistance with functions such as logging in and out.
• Ability to follow instructions and established processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of employees.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain assigned work schedules.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a larger team.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for scheduled employee training sessions.
• Greet participants and assist with attendance and sign-in.
• Set up classrooms, workstations, materials, and supplies before and between sessions.
• Assist participants with basic computer functions, including signing in and out of workstations and accessing assigned training systems.
• Refer login problems and Epic questions to training staff or designated technical support.
• Support instructors with classroom logistics and routine administrative tasks.
• Monitor supplies and materials and help maintain organized, welcoming training spaces.
• Transport materials or supplies between training areas and complete related errands as assigned.
• Communicate participant concerns, scheduling issues, and operational needs to training leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Epic training initiative.
