Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Epic analyst to identify, map, and optimize clinical and business processes within Epic applications. You will translate user needs into design specifications, perform testing, and support training and documentation.

The role is fully remote with on-call responsibilities; requires Epic experience, healthcare software knowledge, and strong communication skills. Travel may be required for on-site collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

EPIC certification within 6 months and ongoing maintenance as required by department.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Typically 3 years in IT or clinical environment with business process mapping, analysis, requirements, testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

Identify, map, measure, analyze and improve routine to moderately complex clinical and business processes for Epic applications.
Prepare documentation for business requirements using diagrams and models; evaluate proposed solutions for fit.
Translate user requirements into functional/technical design specifications and reviews with users.
Configure systems to meet business requirements.
Develop test plans and scripts; conduct testing and document outcomes.
Provide client training and develop training materials and trainers.
Monitor system functionality and institute changes as needed.
Explain application functionality to users and assist with full use of systems.
Maintain product documentation and change control per department standards.
Communicate project status and upgrades to clinic users; manage multiple requests and upgrades.
