Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an IT professional to map, analyze, and optimize Epic application workflows within a fully remote role. You will lead business process mapping, design tests, and train end-users while coordinating upgrades and documentation.

This position requires Epic experience, 3+ years in healthcare IT, and strong project management skills. The role offers on-call duties and a dayshift schedule, with relocation and visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.
• Typically requires 3 years in an IT or clinical environment with business process mapping, analysis, defining business and user requirements, acceptance testing and documentation experiences.
• Experience in Epic and other Healthcare applications.
• Project management experience with ability to use project management software.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, balance multiple tasks, be detail oriented and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Identify, map, measure, analyze and improve routine to moderately complex clinical and business processes for Epic applications.
• Perform workflow analysis and map out critical business processes using best practices.
• Prepare documentation for business requirements using diagrams and data models.
• Configure systems to meet business requirements and develop test plans and scripts.
• Conduct unit, integration, system and end-user testing and document outcomes.
• Create training materials and provide user training as appropriate.
• Explain and support the functioning of Epic applications to users.
• Develop and maintain product documentation and troubleshooting guides.
