Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a qualified IT professional to map, analyze, and optimize Epic workflows across clinical and business processes. The full-time, dayshift role is fully remote with on-call responsibilities and no visa sponsorship.

You will prepare documentation, perform testing, and train users, with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and about three years of IT or clinical experience in process mapping and Epic applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Approximately 3 years in an IT or clinical environment with business process mapping, analysis, and documentation experience.
• Experience with Epic and other Healthcare applications.
• Project management experience and ability to use PM software.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks, and provide strong customer service.
• Ability to collaborate with healthcare application users, vendors, and technical professionals.

Responsibilities

• Identify, map, measure, analyze, and improve routine to moderately complex clinical and business processes for Epic applications.
• Perform workflow analysis and map critical business processes using BPA techniques and industry standards.
• Prepare business requirements documentation with diagrams and data models for discussion and analysis.
• Configure systems to meet business requirements and develop test plans and scripts.
• Lead unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, track issues and document outcomes.
• Provide client training and develop training materials and trainers for end-users.
• Explain application functionality to users and assist with full software usage and process flow.
• Develop and maintain product documentation including workflows, specs, installation instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
• Communicate project status and upgrades to clinic users and manage application version upgrades.
• Serve as resource for assigned applications and assist with support and troubleshooting as needed.
