Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking an Account Manager to grow and maintain a portfolio of contractor and facility accounts. You will manage quotes, follow through on commitments, and own the customer relationship from sales through delivery.

This role emphasizes trust, reliability, and proactive account management to protect margin and drive referrals. A strong knowledge of electrical products and CRM experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of outside sales or account management experience, preferably in electrical distribution or industrial products.
• Demonstrated track record of growing accounts and retaining customers through relationship-based selling.
• Working knowledge of electrical products and their applications; willingness to deepen knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM software required.

Responsibilities

• Build deep, trusted relationships with decision-makers at every account.
• Manage quotes and follow up with urgency to close opportunities.
• Own accounts end-to-end, including problem resolution and delivery coordination.
• Collaborate with operations and purchasing to ensure on-time fulfillment.
• Represent Shepherd professionally in all customer interactions.
