Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks an eDiscovery Technician to join the Legal team supporting a large Federal agency. Responsibilities include logging productions, digesting cover letters, password coordination, virus scanning, protocol adherence, and loading content into Relativity.

The role requires 3+ years in eDiscovery, a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), and eligibility for a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree; three years of additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Knowledge of information resources.
• Excellent analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high quality work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple tasks as specified in duties.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Log productions in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest cover letters and provide brief descriptions of productions.
• Coordinate passwords with producing party if needed.
• Determine if cover letters qualify for loading into Relativity.
• Virus scan productions off-network using multiple protections.
• Address issues per protocol or reject the production.
• Copy clean production to the Agency's network.
• Follow protocols for whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, international, BSA, audio files, transcripts, laptops or paper.
• Analyze productions to determine required processing and applicable protocol.
• Analyze data to ensure completeness.
• If load ready, verify all components present or flag issues to Litigation Support.
• Monitor incoming productions by email and via FTP.
• Scan and OCR paper documents as needed for Relativity loading.
• Coordinate off-site scanning for large paper boxes.
