Job summary

CGS is seeking an eDiscovery Technician to support the legal arm of a large Federal agency. The role involves processing and validating productions, virus scanning, and coordinating loading into Relativity.

You will monitor email/FTP deliveries and ensure document handling adheres to policy. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of eDiscovery technical experience, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years additional relevant work experience may substitute for degree
• Knowledge of information resources
• Excellent analytical capabilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to deliver high quality work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines
• Experience managing multiple tasks as described in Duties & Responsibilities
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Public Trust clearance ability desired

Responsibilities

• Log productions in the Agency’s eDiscovery Tracking System
• Digest cover letters and describe the production
• Obtain passwords from producing parties for encrypted media
• Determine if cover letters contain information for Relativity loading
• Virus scan productions off-network with multiple tools
• Follow protocol to address issues or reject productions
• Copy clean productions to the Agency’s network
• Handle documents per protocol (MOU, RFPA, whistleblower, international, BSA, audio, transcripts)
• Analyze productions to determine processing needs and completeness
• Monitor incoming productions by email and FTP
• Scan and OCR paper documents for Relativity loading
• Coordinate off-site scanning for multi-box paper productions
