Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking an eDiscovery Technician to support a Federal agency's legal team. The role focuses on processing, virus scanning, and loading productions into Relativity, with strict adherence to government protocols.

The candidate must be a U.S. citizen, capable of obtaining a Public Trust clearance, and able to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines. This full-time position offers growth opportunities within CGS’s government-focused portfolio.

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree; three years of additional work experience may substitute.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Log productions in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest long cover letters and provide a brief production description.
• Call producing party to obtain passwords when encrypted productions.
• Determine if cover letters qualify for loading into Relativity.
• Virus scan productions off-network using multiple protection tools.
• Follow protocol or reject issues detected in productions.
• Copy clean productions to the Agency’s network.
• Handle documents per protocol (MOUs, BSA, whistleblower, etc.).
• Analyze data to determine processing needs and completeness.
• Monitor incoming productions via email and FTP.
• Scan OCR papers for loading into Relativity.
• Coordinate off-site scanning for multi-box paper productions.
