Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks an eDiscovery Technician to support the legal division of a large Federal agency. You will log productions, review long submissions, and determine processing and Relativity-loading needs while ensuring data integrity and virus-free content.

The role emphasizes secure handling of diverse document types, password retrieval when needed, and collaboration with litigation teams under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience required.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Log productions in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest long cover letters and describe the production briefly.
• Coordinate password retrieval if encrypted media is password-protected.
• Assess if cover letters qualify for Relativity loading.
• Virus scan productions off-network and address issues per protocol.
• Copy clean productions to the Agency network after virus clearance.
• Handle documents per specific protocols (e.g., MOUs, RFPA, BSA).
• Analyze data to determine required processing and protocol.
• Ensure data completeness and escalate if incomplete.
• Monitor for productions via email and FTP.
• OCR small paper documents and coordinate on-site/off-site scanning.
