Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking an eDiscovery Technician to support a large Federal agency within the Legal department. The role involves logging productions, digesting lengthy cover letters, performing virus scans, and ensuring documents are ready for Relativity loading.

The candidate will coordinate password retrieval, assess loading eligibility, and manage multi-format document handling, including off-site scanning for paper documents. U.S.

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience in compiling, analyzing, and synthesizing information to support project task requirements.
• Knowledge of information resources and strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Log productions in the eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest long cover letters and provide a concise production description.
• Coordinate password retrieval from producers when encrypted productions are received.
• Assess if cover letters contain substantive information for loading into Relativity.
• Virus scan productions with multiple tools and follow protocol for issues.
• Copy virus-clean productions to the Agency's network per protocol.
• Handle documents per protocol (whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, International, BSA, audio, transcripts, laptops, paper).
• Determine processing needs and applicable protocol; verify data completeness.
• Monitor for incoming productions via email and FTP; OCR small paper sets.
• Coordinate off-site scanning for large paper boxes.
