Job summary

Werner Enterprises is hiring a Fleet Manager in the United States to build and sustain driver relationships, addressing home time, payroll, equipment issues, and safety concerns using our operating and telematics systems.

You will collaborate with the Dedicated Logistics team to optimize loads, coordinate with multiple departments, and ensure timely driver onboarding and placement, while maintaining full shift attendance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 2–3 years of fleet management/transportation experience.
• 6–12 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships addressing home time, payroll, equipment, and safety issues.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize loads.
• Align with customer dynamics and Werner goals to improve value.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and vendors.
• Work with managers to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Maintain timely attendance per shift schedule.
