Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a Fleet Operations Supervisor to build and maintain driver relationships, aligning home time, payroll, equipment needs, and issue resolution through our systems and direct communication. You will partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize loads considering origin, destination, freight type, mileage, and stops.

The role requires coordinating with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 2–3 years of fleet management or transportation experience preferred.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to operate a computer terminal and satellite communications system.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships to meet home time, payroll, utility, and equipment needs.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads.
• Understand and adhere to customer dynamics and Werner service expectations.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager/Operations Manager to maintain a full driver board.
• Perform other duties as assigned and ensure timely attendance.
